MSM Energy is a High Voltage Asset Management Company established by Kalpesh Patel (Kepi), a passionate, dynamic, and detail-oriented electrical professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience. His expertise encompasses the detailed design & engineering, installation, testing & commissioning, and maintenance of HV (up to 500kV), LV, and instrumentation equipment. Kalpesh has extensive experience working in the renewables and energy sectors, electrical infrastructure development projects, water resources, mining, rail, oil & gas fields, petroleum refineries, and cement (dust-laden environments) industries.
Throughout his career, Kalpesh has collaborated with world leaders in handling electrical equipment, consistently exceeding customer expectations. He takes great pride in his work, from the design stage to the commissioning and handover of complete electrical systems. His expertise includes transportable MV switch rooms, MV & HV substations, EHV switchyards, overhead distribution & transmission networks, underground cables, solar and wind farms, traction power stations, SAS and SCS systems (IEC61850 compliant), earthing & lightning protection systems, and cathodic protection.
Kalpesh has rigorously worked on wind farm HV Asset BOPs, FATs, and SATs for electrical systems. He is proficient in independently performing testing and commissioning of protection relays, CTs, VTs, CBs, earth switches, power and distribution transformers, earthing and lightning protections, AC/DC UPS, battery banks, and solar and wind farm equipment.
Prior to embarking on to new start up MSM Energy, Kalpesh was working with Vestas as a High Voltage Responsible Officer (HVRO), and has successfully delivered responsibility of maintaining HV assets of wind farms located in South Australia and Western Victoria.
